Hot air balloon branding can range from $30,000 to $300,000 depending on the balloon size, complexity of the artwork, and the manufacturer's lead time. Ballons du Monde offers branding options that cater to your client's budget and campaign objectives; for example: 1) Hot Air Balloon Branding (significant capital investment and approximately 6-month lead time that offers the maximum exposure and long-lasting recall) 2) Basket Branding as a standalone prop (minimal setup cost and a 2- to 3-week lead time that offers a unique experience for visitors to be around a timeless invention) 3) Branded Inflatables (minimal setup cost and 2- to 3-month lead time with the greatest flexibility to customize the shape of the inflatable)

The Beginnings. To create this unique offering Ballons du Monde engineered its setup under the guidance of CASA- and EASA-certified hot air balloon instructors and hot air balloon OEMs. We conducted site tests in 4Q 2021 and successfully obtained all the necessary clearances from the Singapore authorities to open our experience to the public in March 2022.

The hot air balloon obtains lift by using heat to make the air within the envelope lighter than the surrounding air.

The operator only has control of the altitude of the hot air balloon by heating and cooling the air in the balloon. While the operator has no directional control of the hot air balloon, the operators can guide the balloon by riding different wind stream. In the case of Ballons du Monde, our balloon will be tethered to the ground so we will not leave our geographic location.

Hot air ballooning is the safest form of flight and we - Ballons du Monde - take it upon ourselves to ensure we do our part to maintain that cherished reputation. Ballons du Monde's trained operators only use aviation-grade ballooning equipment and our setup has been over-specified to ensure safety for all stakeholders. This focus on safety is what dictates whether, how high, and for how long we can operate on any day.

For our tethered setup, we recommend our guests dress in comfortable clothing because they will be required to climb into and out of the basket. We do not allow high heels because this can cause injury during landings as well as during boarding and disembarking. We also recommend wearing headwear (e.g., a cap) because the burner overhead generates a lot of heat that may be uncomfortable for some people.

Ballons du Monde will operate two sessions due to the weather. sunrise session; and evening session. The evening sessions are prime for marketing one's brand because of the higher footfall and amazing display. Passengers must be at least 130cm tall; this is so they can see over the basket. Children (i.e., people below 18 years of age) shorter than 130cm can participate as long as they are comfortable with seeing through the basket's foot holes and must be accompanied by an adult.

For safety reasons, we do not permit the following people to participate in our flight sessions: pregnant women; people with heart issues; people with respiratory problems; people suffering from osteoporosis; and people who have participated in scuba diving activities within 48 hours of their scheduled balloon ride. If you have any questions, please consult your medical practitioner if you have a pre-existing medical condition that may be affected by the physical nature of ballooning.

Ballons du Monde's tethered ride can operate at a maximum height between 25m and 30m, depending on the weather. Because this is a highly personalised experience, please let the operator know if you become uncomfortable with the height at any point during your ride and we can adjust accordingly. For branding activations at space-limited venues, Ballons du Monde can offer either a static tether (i.e., the hot air balloon is inflated but does not lift off) or low tethered operation (i.e., fly up to 10m).

Despite our meticulous planning for every session, we do experience unexpected changes in the weather. We will confirm each flight session one to two hours before the scheduled lift-off time. If the weather becomes unfavourable for us to operate a safe and enjoyable lift-off experience, we will reschedule the flight to the next available date, at no extra charge for ticketed passengers.
